i need to know the best brand of black hair dye that is the most resistant to fadeing and i know that i should go to a hair dresser or stylist or whatever but i am by no means at all a rich person and can not afford to so please dont recomend that but from your own expierence what is the best at home brand of hair dye that will not fade and also what are the worst brands that are the most prone to fadeing thanks

so if your Anglo and wash your hair everyday it will fade

Use the mirror on the box to match or pick the shade you want by holding up to your skin to see if you'll like it or not. I have colored my hair black for about 13 years now. Black does not fade at all, your roots just grow. It all depends what type of black you want too. Brown-black, blue-black or just black. If you want Japanese anime blue tinted black, I recommend Garnier 100% Color Blue Black. It's a really pretty, shiny blue black, but will lose some of the luster after a couple of weeks. If you want a natural looking black, not a stark black, try Loreal Natural Match in Brown Black. If you want just a standard black, Feria by Loreal in Starry Night, is a very shiny bright black, and from my experience, retains its shine for a long time. Yay! No blondes! Black all the way! I say go for blue black, it's the coolest!

Clairol Nice 'n Easy (Color Code 122/Natural Black). It's cheap (less than $10) and just about any drugstore or Wal-Mart carries it. One tip though, don't get the dye on the counter around the sink or on the walls/carpet/floor...it will stain and never come out. Also, buy some rubber kitchen gloves. The gloves that come in the box are crappy and the seams will split. Once this happens, your fingers will get dye on them and be purple for a few days.
