I had bloned hair and wanted to go natural, like and medium brown. I ended up buying and auburn brown and ended up red. So i went to sally's beauty supply and bought some 4n brown to recolor it and let a firend with her liscense do it but it turned out almost black. I washed it a couple times, and i need it to lighten,Help!

You should've went to a professional salon.. now that it's so dark, there's nothing much you can do. Go to the hair salon, and get some tips to fix it.

either wait a few weeks but it wont lighten dramatically or dye again but it will be hard from that dark of a color

this has happened to me about a million times. it's no fun to expect something and get the opposite, but generally store bought hair color is very dark at first, if it says auburn brown it will probably lighten up after a few washes. if that doesnt work i'm sure a salon could fix it right up. if it isn't that stark blue-black they usually have ways to help.

you can get the colour stipped, but even that doesnt work great on black dye. it'll go a kinda reddy colour and they you can dye over that, but you wont get it very light, it'll probably a medium brown at lightest and probably have an auburn tint, but nothing too noticable
