How do get rid of demi-black hair color from light blonde hair.?

My naturally light blonde daughter is in love with coloring her hair crazy colors. I've been OK with her use of Manic Panic to do purple and rainbow etc. Recently, she put a black shadow underneath her hair and it's been over a month. Now I find out it's demi color. What now? Does it go away? Does it need to grow out? Can we color over it with a blonde color to get her back to original? is there any downside to repeated use of Manic Panic?

You can buy hair colour remover at walmart. It's the only thing that will bleach out black from light hair....at least that I've found. It costs about $8 and comes in a white box with orange writing....I think it's either Clairol or L'oreal. The picture on the box is really dated, but the stuff inside works. However, it will turn her hair an orange colour. She may actually like it. It's designed to strip all colour safely so that it can be redyed immediately. You can colour over a blonde dye, but not black. You could also bleach it, but that's really hard on your hair....

Manic Panic is designed to wash out after a few shampoos, for the most part. Light colour hair dyed dark though is always hard to return to 'normal'. For the most part, it's completely harmless though....it's not going to eat her hair up and make it fall out, if that's what you're wondering. Just make sure she keeps a good deep conditioner on hand.
