Do you think dying your hair black looks fake?

right now i have darkish brown hair but i have black eyebrows.

i want to go blonde [in which case i would dye my eyebrows lighter] but if the hair person says it would be a good idea i would want to dye my hair black.

but when i have seen people with dyed black hair it always look fake to me.

what do you guys think?

i really have no idea what i want to do with my hair.

i want to get it cut but then sometimes i don't want to.

i have no idea how i would want to get it cut or what color i should dye it %26amp; what color i should dye the tips.

how does it look fake??? ppl with both dyed and natural black hair look the same. ppl with purple and other colored hair look unnatural.

just dye your eyebrows the closest color that your hair is now so that they will match. its easier to have fake looking eyebrows that a whole head of fake looking hair.

unless your black or asian... black looks too unnatural. try a really dark brown. and put redish brown or auburn highlights. it looks good without being too over done.

Not in all cases no. But if you have very pale skin in some cases it may look fake.

If your eyebrows are also black it will look much more believable. Make sure you get it died at the hairdressers though, don't do it on your own.

if you have black eyebrows (so do I) dont dye your whole head blonde! Jet black looks fake.....go for a soft black! Then since you cant really decide do both colors........do blonde bangs with blonde streaks.......I have done my hair like this several times...and it always looks great!!! If you plan on doing it yourself Loreal "Chunking" highlight kit is the best blonde that I have found that matches with black hair......just make sure you leave it on long enough so your hair is not orange!

i would get a cut first.

if your looking for an edgy-scene-emo-ish kinda look

i would go with a dramatic bang and layers

also tips are sorta out so dont go with that

and try not to die your eyebrows really really light

cuz they tend to 'dissappear'

well really u shoud have posted a picture of your hair but, yes i think black hair does look fake inless its natural.. if youre really going to dye ur hair black then add some dark brown highlights to off set the jet black. ((make it look more natural))

want and stick to that. There are lots

It really all depends on your skin tone. If you have a cool pale, or a cool darker skin tone, then I'd say go ahead and dye your hair black.

But if you have a warm skin tone, or if you have a skin tone that's kind of reddish [like it looks like you're always blushing] then I wouldn't dye my hair black, if I were you.

If you do have a warm skin tone, then you should stick to golden blonde. If you have a more reddish skin tone, then you should dye your hair ash blonde.

In short, black hair only looks "fake" on people who don't have the right skin tone for it.

Black hair is unnatural, unless you have blends of natural black hair already mixed in with your dark brown hair. I would go blonde. I am not a hairdresser, but from my experience, dyed black hair normally exudes a Gothic look or a mysterious look. If that's what you're going for, do your thing. If your looking for a natural and refreshing change, go with blond. Consider highlighting your hair while still keeping your natural brown hair. Then you wouldn't have to dye your eyebrows unless you deemed it necessary. Good luck! :)

Well I hate it when really pale people dye their hair Black, I seriously think it makes them look dead or sick or something. I got a slightly tanned skin and I dyed my hair black after having it blonde the summer before and it looked really nice. Light browns are really out this season. You should dye your hair a shade of honey with very thin golden highlights and some thin darker brown low lights, I think it'll look real cute. For the cut, angled bobs are so out and they look modern. I thinking of getting bob cut myself soon. it depends on your skin colour complexion eg dont do it if u are very pale white with feckles. otherwise suits most people.

however instead of jet black i would opt for a darker brown rather than total black.
