I want to get my hair like an auburn brown, and caramel highlights....i really want to do it since prom is like a month away and im tired of my black hair...i have dyed my hair like 2 years now...the last time was like november and i just want to dye it brown with highlights..but i heard thats difficult and it will damage my hair..i plan to go to a salon but they tell me that its possible but hard..what sould i d? how much do they charge? will it look like i want?

I think your hair might change colors. Black hair is really pretty so if I were you, I'd put in red highlights. You'd look really pretty for prom!!

why don't u get some tracks put in? it's not permanent, and it could make your hair look fuller if you like

If I were you I would make this decision soon! You don't want to do something drastic just before prom and be stuck with it!

I wouldn't suggest you do both the color and highlights together... too much stress on your hair too soon. But you should do it! -lighter color for a warmer season!

Deffinitly go to a salon do not try it yourself. It's only difficult if you try is yourself, as your hair could end up orange. I suggest you look for a salon that is also a spa, as they usually have top quality stylists. As far as price it depends on your area probably between $50-$100

look it is true that to much dying your hair can damage it but there is a simpler solutions that can be better and charge you way less option 1 you can ask a friend to do it who loves doing hair option 2 you can try to be friends with the person who is giving you that hair dye or option 3 you can dye your hair but, buy a machine to do the tips for you that way you can save money and probably with the extra money you can buy a candybar

i went from black to blonde so its possible but it is damaging. first they have to strip your hair of the black and that usually turns it bozo the clown orange. Then it may take a couple of processes to get it to the color you actually want without having that brassy color that gets left behind from being stripped. It takes a long time to get your hair stripped. Mine took about 3 hours and its only shoulder length. Price depends on the salon and state i guess. I live in nj and to get my hair stripped then redyed cost about $270 ish. If you are going to do it, start soon so that you can work on it to get it to the color you want.
