a couple of my friends have told me you can make your hair a couple shades darker by soaking your hair in black tea...if this is true, will someone plaes tell me how to do it and will it have a weird/bad effect on my hair.....

yah u can do so...... just take that liquid n apply to ur hair.... b4 that make the liquid a day b4 n apply it on ur hair on next day... u can also mix mehandi powder made out of that leaves... n u can apply .... i tried this out.. it was nice.... so u can try da...

i saw this show where a clothe was dyed to become a darker shade by means of a tea bag.
however, i dont think the effect is permanent..
as for bad effects.. I have no idea..
you could try it on your dog first... i dont think he would mind a bad hair day..
