I'm going to straighten my friends hair for homecoming. The problem is that shes black and i after 10 second of straightening it, it goes back to being curley. Is there anything i can put on her hair make it stay straight for 4 hours or so? I'm hoping there something affordable i can put on and it'll have a long lasting help. Thanx in advance.

just go to like walmart and buy some straight hair style starting shampoo and condit and then use some kinda jell b4 u straighten it but it might not last that long so just go and have it professionally done and get an updo or something

Use a good sealer ( Paul mitchell Heat Seal ) and a very hot flat Iron. on african american hair its not uncommon to use one that goes up to 420 F or more. make sure you go slow over the whole hair shaft, taking only small sections at a time. finish each section with a small spray of light hair spray and brush through with comb.
