Why does my black hair fade?

i dyed my hair blue-black and i LOVED it but it has completely faded to a horrible brown %26amp; the dye was permanent.

any reason why it does this?

Why does my black hair fade?

Did you dye it yourself using an off-the-shelf product? Sorry, but dyes often fade over time, washing out and also daily exposure to wind and sun take their toll.

There is no other solution then re-dying either with the same product or possibly try a salon treatment which is better quality.

Good luck ~ Alandriel

Why kind of dye did you use? I dye mine black as well and I use Garnier then pick up some good shampoo and conditioner for colored hair. Also you should re-dye your hair at least once every month to month and a half.

Why does my black hair fade?

if you wash your hair too much the colour can fade, i would get the dye done again and only wash when necessary

Why does my black hair fade?

All color fades, period. All hair color needs to me maintained. These also contribute to the fade-age: Sun, tanning beds, over shampooing, shampooing with a shampoo not designed for color treated hair. Also depending on what condition the hair is in prior to the service things can also change quickly.
