Curious about black hair?

All I did was ask a simple question about black hair and I was attacked. Not once did I say I laughed at her, not once did I state it was wrong or distasteful. I specifically stated I can understand change. It is a damn shame when one can not ask a question about another race without immediately being accused of hatred or being disrespectful. If anybody was being disrespectful, it was all of you that attacked me. Now.....why the attack?

Curious about black hair?

whoever it was probably took it the wrong way because there are a lot of racists out there and its getting hard to tell them apart from kind people. im sorry that happened to you though.

Curious about black hair?

Simply because People Suck!

Curious about black hair?

..Wierd.

I guess its asian pride.

Curious about black hair?

they're just plain racists!!!! they're so worried that we are going to make fun of them, so before we even speak, they have to make a stupid comment to us and how stupid white people are and stuff like that. am i right????

Curious about black hair?

This looks interesting......but in my opinion you get attacked over any little thing these days, when it's got nothing to do with being racist or otherwise...it's the way things are at the minute unfortunataly.

Curious about black hair?

There are alot of racists out there, and I guess people took it as a racial remark. Don't worry about it! As long as you didn't mean it that way, nobody cares. :)

Curious about black hair?

Say it more politely next time and don't sound so racist. Then you won't get attacked!

Curious about black hair?

I am married to an afro american man and I am Caucasian. The first time I met his daughters I had to ask how to refer to how they take care of their hair. The easiest and least controversial way to ask about it it to ask about "ethnic" hair.

Curious about black hair?

I did not see your original question. I do know that sometimes saying anything about another race can be interpreted as prejudiced, even if it is the farthest thing from it! I just looked it up and responded to it.

Curious about black hair?

It is a good question though. Some black people like to lighten their skin, for whatever their reason may be and some white people like to darken their skin, for whatever their reason might be. To each their own..........Can't we all just get along? :)))

Curious about black hair?

i dont know some people get so defensive on here jeez....

Curious about black hair?

Why are you still asking about it? Why do you care about what people you will never meet think about you?

Curious about black hair?

idk alot of people take things the wrong way and get freakin mad about it. so don't worry about it, if people want to get pissed about it then let them just ask long as you know what you meant!!

Curious about black hair?

some of us are just ignorant that way ( no hard feelings)!!!

trust, if you were to ask me about it i wouldn't get mad. if this was your question the reason why we always put grease in our hair is because it is dry and when it gets dry it falls out.

Curious about black hair?

It would seem to some that the way you paraphrased your question was found to be offensive to their nature. I, however, saw it differently and have answered accordingly. I'm not trying to be the good guy, but am just stating my opinion in observation.

Curious about black hair?

well i just saw your question and you didn't word it out nicely so maybe that's why your are being attack. also if she had blonde hair and green eyes who's to say that is a white women traits. i have known alot of latina's with blonde hair and green eyes we can make ourself look any we want to.

Curious about black hair?

I read your original question and I am puzzled as to why you would even ask such a question. I can accept that you meant no disrespect by it, but perhaps you should take into consideration the tone in which you used. I am a black woman with natural green eyes. As a matter of fact I have family members who dye their hair blonde also. You have to understand that there are several and sometimes conflicting images of what beauty is. So it's only natural that what others may view as strange be oddly beautiful to others. I think that you should do some research before you ask such a racially charged statement next time. There are thousands of women of color who have natural characteristics not typically viewed as "their own" and vice versa. It's okay, I understand where you were coming from. i think it's really ignorant to argue what is a black trait and what is a white trait. With the world being such a melting pot, that idea should be banished anyway.

Curious about black hair?

I just read your question and really it sounds like you and the people you work with have a problem with things you don't understand or maybe are intimidated about. You said she was the joke on everyone's lips all night and this is a person none of you ever met before. You all took one look at her outside appearance and down right judged her for no reason. No one obviously got to know her for the person she is. You might have found her to be a great friend. She might have let you in on some things, since you are so "ethnic curious" she could answer all of your questions without you being attacked. I have caucasion friends and they ask me questions all the time and vice versa and we don't attack each other because we are friends. One of my dearest friends is married to a black guy and she is the most open minded person I know because she had white guys beating the crap out of her for years and met him and he is the sweetest guy she has ever known. Goes against everything you ever heard I bet? Well someone should have let you know a long time ago that it's not what color a persons skin is( and think about that the next time you go for a tan) or their eye color that makes them a person, it has to do with personality and what's in a person's heart. Good people come in every color and so do bad people. You and your co workers proved that by making fun of a stranger. You don't know what is going on in her life if she is working temp first of all and then to get there and have a bunch of people make her feel even more uncomfortable. Wow, so mature!!! And where do you live anyway in the backhills somewhere referring to her style as "white cosmetics" sounds like something from Mississippi Burning or the 1920's where they had the "white's only" signs posted. Maybe you should get together with the green contact makers and suggest they post it on the boxes "for whites only" LOL. Believe me, no one is even living that way anymore, travel and see the world, and you will see that diversity is in sweetie, racism and mockery are a thing of the past. I hope one day when you have children you teach them these values or they will be screwed up in life......... Good luck
