You need to figure out how porous your hair is. I f you already have color on your hair you may need to remove the previous color before appling more color. You should talk to a professional hair dress/cosmetologist and ask them what they reccommmend.

Well I have black hair with blue underneath and I went to a salon to get the black done and then I did the blue with Raw dye. The Raw is pretty good for bright colors, but for black I think it's a good idea just to go to a salon and get it done because most store bought black hair dyes fade

Bidgen's Oriental Black rocks! It never fades and always looks really shiny and healthy. Now, this is pretty much permanent. I've tried bleaching my hair out since, and can only bleach out my roots. The black stays and stays and stays.

Don't worry about #4's answer, dying hair doesn't cause greys, it's all genetic. Some people can start to go grey as early as 16 or as late as 70's.
