I think they just condition it very good. They may also use a leave in conditioner.

mousse. apply it with a little water and it'll stay looking shiny-ish kinda wet. i don't like taht look so much though. only some guys can get away with it, like if the have wavy hair at a certain legnth.

There are lots of men's accessories you can possibly find at the market. I have a friend who has long but curly hair, he usually use Mousse for his hair. It isn't that expensive though and I am sure there are lots of varieties in store where you can chose from.

The oil builds up so eventually it will look like that, THEN turn to dread locks
