What household items will fade my JET BLACK hair?

Long story short: My hair is originally dark brown. I got highlights in October. I dyed it dark brown yesterday. It turned black. I washed my hair 15 times (I kept count) today. What can I use? I can't go to the store. My parents aren't home and I can't drive. I need my hair to be faded by tomorrow.

Dont use peroxide!!! The chemical will react to the dye and turn it god knows what color. Head and shoulders works if you have any, but unfortunately only time will fade the color. Check the box to see if its a permanent color or semi-permanent. If its permanent you need to visit a colorist as they will be able to reverse the process. If its semi permanent it will fade in about a week. Don't try to wash it out by shampooing too much. You'll strip the natural oils and dry out your hair and then you have another problem on your hands.

If it hasn't faded after 15 washes since yesterday, it isn't going to, unfortunately. I am guessing that the hair color you used is permanent....there is a reason it is called that :)

if it's honestly black, like the box had a number 1 on it, your not going to be able to fade it. The only thing you can do is keep washing it. However even bleaching black out of your hair is a task and i would NEVER recommend trying it on your own, trust me you will end up orange and red and black and all sorts of colors that you will end up outting black right over to cover it up.

peroxide will remove the black dye but it'll probably make your hair really dry. what you should do is buy a hair color remover such as COLOR OOPS, which can be found at any drugstore or you can buy COLOR ZAP which can be purchased at any beauty supply store. I would suggest using COLOR OOPS because it's less damaging to your hair since it contains no ammonia or bleach. both of these products are around $12. after you use the hair color remover you can dye your hair but since your hair will be porous you should dye it a lighter color than you want because it will come out darker. using a household item might be more convenient but you should use the proper hair products in order to get the best results and to prevent hair damage.

also if you do choose to use peroxide just know your hair will turn orange which means you'll have to go out and buy hair dye anyways.
