Red highlights on black hair?

I have brown skin and really dark eyes,my hair is black with some hardly seen highlights would red highlights work for me?I like it because most people now have blonde highlights and I wanna have something different.What other highlights would work?have pictures?

Red wont show up on black hair, the only times its ever visible past the 1st 2 or 3 days is in the sun. Plus, blonde last along time compared to red wich last about 2 - 4 weeks depending on the amount you wash your hair. I would get your hair bleached highlights and a few weeks after get those bleached strans dyed red with a few slim magenta streaks just to prolone the color.. they will last alot longer but still they wont last for a long time.

after that it fades off and eventually dissapears.I had a color like Hilary duff's and i got fire engine red highlights and they were barely visible after 5 days . good luck :]

i think that you should do the half and half thing where the top part of your hair it black and the back is fire red, that'd look awesome, believe me.. i have seen it.

my friend is chinese but looks like she's half white and she has medium brown hair. but she recently dyed her hair a darker brown [almost black] and got a few red streaks and it looks REALLY REALLY GOOD...she looks hotter than ever! although your skin tones are different...it'll probably look good.
