I used to have dyed red hair, but then I dyed it black. It's sort of fading and I would like to go back to that red color. Is there a way that I can do this without using bleach? Like dying brown and letting it fade out?

dye white first than dye red. can use red hair spray to add more red or any other colour. can shampoo off too.

Don't think so. My sister dyed her hair black two years ago. She's tried dying it every color you can think of, but the only part that takes is the new growth. I'm pretty sure bleaching is the only option besides letting it grow out. Sorry, hon. Good luck.

Haircolor will not lift out artificial color. You will need a bleaching or color removing product. You can still give it time and see how much more color will fade before you do it. Go to a Pro, you can get it to a red stage again.
