Does Henna work well on natural black hair?

I have natural very black hair and because I am only half asian with a medium complexion I find my black hair quite strong for my features. I really want a change without having to strip the colour with bleach and potentially destroying my hair. Will I notice a difference with Henna?

no, my hair is almost black and hardly anything shows up properly on it.

it sucks really but maybe you should get it done professionally as they will have a better idea how to go about changing your colour without damaging your hair.

Sorry but the only way it will work on dark hair is by bleaching your hair. I have very dark hair as well, and i must have used almost every henna product there is, but with no success it didn't work. Henna only works on lighter colored hair, it may add a little bit of color to your hair but only if you use really bright colored henna. But its worth a shot so give it a go and see how it turns out for you. Everybody's hair is different.
