Red on black hair?

If you have a like dark black hair and iv tryed doing red on it but it doesnt show..... anyone know another way to make it show?

It'll be hard for you to do it by yourself. This is my advice. It is better to take it as a highlight. Red and Black is a nice color for highlighting hair. If you can't do that by yourself, you should go to the parlor to make it look better. If you want your hair to be Red. As in all red, promise! You will look Nasty! That's all! Thanks!

You probably have to lighten it first, wait awhile, then apply the red hair dye. Be careful though, red fades fast anyways, and all the changing with the color will drastically dry out your hair.

ya, it need to be bleach. then ads manic panic after the bleaching process. this will make the red vibrant. and when it start to fade. you can always add manic panic. does not hurt the hair
