i dyed it blonde back in august, so it's a little damaged at the ends (like the bottom 2 inches)

i've had my hair dyed black for about 2 weeks now...

i absolutely hate it. im not going to wait for it to grow out either, because it will look like crap with firey orange roots.

anyway, any ideas?

i've heard of hair strippers instead of bleaches...

do these work? oh, and i want to get it back to the color i had in the pic

thanks so much

Your hair looks so cute in the pic..... but I would say go to a professional, they will definately be able to help you. Just be careful..... all that dying is not good for your hair. 閳?br>How do i get rid of black hair dye?

Stripping the hair is usually done with some kind of bleach.

This was my response to a question from earlier this week:

Once you go black it's hard to go back.

DO NOT make the mistake of trying to redye it a lighter color. Your roots (any new hair that has grown in) will lighten to the color you want and the ends will stay that stubborn dark.

Bleach is the only way to remove old color. Try mixing some (make sure you get the kind that is made specifically for hair, don't ever use your regular household bleach) with water and applying it quickly and evenly over the black then rinse and shampoo. Do this a couple of time to lift the hair to a shade that is close to what you want (don't leave the bleach mixture on for more than 20 minutes each time and no longer than an hour total). You may want to wait a couple of days and condition the hair as it may be stressed after all the processing. You can then dye over what will probably be a really orangey looking, try using a brown that has a blue/violet base this will help to tone down that brassy color.

You can also go to your local salons and ask their suggestions but be prepared to pay big bucks for a color correction. Next time opt for a medium or light brown. Most box colors end up being darker then we think they will.
