I have black hair too - make sure you buy about 3 shades lighter of a brown you want, otherwise, it'll just get a little lighter, but not much

semi permanent color won't make your hair lighter only darker.

So it's not going to work. The most you can get with semi permanent on dark hair is kind of an iridescent sheen it's not going to get any lighter.

semi-permanent color can't lighten. natural black hair will get no effect with semi-permanent color. in order for you to get lighter at all, you would have to use a permanent color.

I don't think semi-permanent colour will give you the effect you want, there will probably be no difference to see. You would need to use permanent colour; however, in that case, the brown tones will only show up in sunlight. If you want a noticeable effect, you need to first lighten your hair a few shades, then colour it brown over top. Black hair can be a bit tricky, unfortunately.

well to be honest i have jet black hair i have used semi permanent a few times....obviously you dont want to go to the salon cuz you wouldnt be here askin us right lol but i would say try a top brand name semi permanent hair color..go with the a middle brown color...or light brown color...the color grid would be on the back of the box and show you how ur hair would look afterwards...and the key for it to work is how long you keep the rinse in ur hair....the box might tell you 20mins but keep it in for about 40 mins...and it wont damage ur hair because it doesnt have alcohol or peroxide in it...so keep it in for a long time....

THERES NO HARM IN TRY'N A RINSE COMPARED TO PERMANENT HAIR DYE!!!!
