i dyed my hair black and tried to dye it back to brown and nothing happened.

black is a hard color to get anything into.

you should probably go to a salon.

they know alot more then a box. and they can even tell you if anything is going to work.

i dont think you can get them to show up with black hair, the only option i see is to strip the hair you want pink but thats a) bad for your hair and b) kind of a permenent thing

You have to bleach it, regardless of whatever dye you use, and the blonde that you bleach it to will NOT be temporary, whether or not you dye over it with the pink. So...yeah.

A girl I knew nicknamed "Pinky" had hot pink tracks/extensions sewn in.

They're not permanent, but the only problem is i don't know where you'd buy them.

you probably wont be able to do this yourself. CHI makes a great high lift and deposit color. You can get red, red violet copper and some other colors on DARK or even black hair. I used it and it worked very well. Just know that the color will fade quite quickly due to lifting the color of the hair so much. Any products that do this are damaging to the hair, big time. So when the stylists recommends a good conditioner, buy it!
