How can i get rid of my dyed black hair?

I dyed my hair black about 2 months ago and i tried to dye over it with a light brown but it only dyed my roots. I now have a ridiculous set of hair. Does anybody know the best way to get rid of the black color?

The best way to get rid of dark hair is to go to a salon. They can remove the color for you - but at a price.

You can wait until it grows out, bleach it and redye it, etc, but in the end you are more likely to damage your hair than make it look good.

The best thing to do is go to your hairdresser and talk to them about your dilemma. They will have the best products and be able to remove the color with minimal damage.

You can take and get the peroxide kit from wal-mart. It will come out a really light orange-ish looking, so you can take and then dye it back into your color of choice

Go to a reputable hairdresser and have them help you out; they will probably have to bleach it and then dye it another color unless you want it bleached, somehow I doubt that. If you're wanting it to your natural hair color, they should be able to match it or nearly. Good luck!

You'll have to try a much lighter shade of dye to go over the black part. Be careful not to touch the roots. All you want to do is lighten the black part. By the way, when I say light, I mean platinum blond hair dye. You'll want to use a good product, like Loreal because your hair may react to frequent coloring. I did this once and I remember it taking me a long time to get back to my normal dirty blond. Good luck and next time, wigs can be better.
