Please don't add any more chemicals.. Don't remove the black yourself or you will have a mess on your hands. Go to a cosmetologist to get it color corrected. I promise you that if you try to remove the color yourself, you will end up having to go to the salon for color correction anyway, and you will have to spend even more to have it corrected. Especially if you already have new growth... You will never get it to match correctly with store bought chemicals.

You could also try a shorter hair style for a while. This way the colour will grow out quicker and you get to test out a new hair style. A "Two for the price of one thang"

"With Black hair dye, especially if it is permanent it is recommended to let it grow out and not bleach it, as it is very hard to get out black dye completely. Bleaching with chemicals also damages the hair it may result in hair becoming so stretchy and thin that it may come out even while combing the hair. Care has to be taken that the bleaching is done in a manner that the black color is removed evenly. After bleaching using a toner is recommended which will reduce the orangey tone of the hair. The toner also conditions the hair and does not further damage it."

See link below for more information...

Black is one of the hardest dyes to get out. It will take a few visits to the hair colorist to get your hair back to its natural color. Each time, you will be bleaching your hair till you can add the right color of dye to your hair. You might think about cutting it first. It will grow back. It may be your only choice as all of the chemicals may fry your hair.

I had this happen to me about 6 months ago.

I楹搗e been looking on the internet to see if I could give you the exact name of the product I used but I couldnt find it.

Go to the store called "Price Attack" and ask them for a hair removal product thats supposed to be natural and doesnt harm your hair as much, its like 20 AUS$ and its two small containers, you mix both of them put the mixture on your hair for 20 minutes and wash it off... it gets most of the colour out.

The brand I cant remember, but the box it comes in is white with black letters... its a four letter word like hdhd or something... I TRULLY recomend this product, If/When I remember the brand name I楹搇l post it.

good luck!

Found it... the brand is MyHD... you can see the product here
