I would only go 2 shades lighter or darker.. with your pale complection, the black would make you look like Wednsday from Adam's Family or Elveria... or Marylin Manson.. Pale doesnt look good.. Just think, many many women try so hard to dye their hair your natural color! LOL

black hair is awesome-it's what I have but understand that red is an easy color to put in but hell to get out. If you like bright red try Matrix socolor in Red. This is a highlight and toner in one. But just know when it fades out it will fade to pink then peach (usually)-depends on how much you wash your hair. Your skin tone is quite fair-it may wash you out. In fact it will wash you out but hey-tryit and if you don't like it-do something else. It's what I live for. I'm a stylist myself.

You natural color look goods on you. If you want different look change your haircut into something more punky, like an out of bed look style, spyke it or mess it up that will look cool on you. Try it and for sure you will love it.

your hair is darkish red now and it looks really good on you, but i personally love red hair. but my other favorite is black hair so thats a tough one! if your gonna go black i wouldn`t get red highlights id just go black, but i think you should keep your hair the way it is, and i also like the length too. =) good luck!

I dyed my hair black once and it took forever to grow out and I looked awful because i have light brown/ blondish hair it was awful you will regret doing it.

I had it for years. It looks good, but hard to maintain. Especially if you do it yourself and you use fudge hair color. I had to color my red 2x's a week to keep it bright or it would turn an ugly orange. I would just keep your hair the way it is.

Well it kinda looks like you have curly or wavy hair so red highlights will just blend and not stand out, but it depends on on what look you're going for! If you want to blend then highlights are the way to go but if you want it to stand out do chunks! I also think you should cut you're hair to about 2 inches all the way around so you will have a choppy look and get it out of your eyes!

But I think it would look great if you did it!
