A dark red looks awesome on black hair. It's noticable but it doesn't stand out in a way that makes you look like a clown. If you're into actual colors, try a dark purple.

try a caramel to a blonde. at first it may not look so good. but then you can get it redone with mor hightlights to make it look pretty.
