HELP MEEE!!how can i change my dyed black hair back to my natural light brown hair?

i have naturally light brown hair, and i thought it would look good if i dyed it a bit darker brown, i bought the box of dye

and dyed it.. but it came out black!!! how do i get my natural color back? are there any products that can take out my die? something anyone? you can see my picture up as my avatar..

so u can imagine how horrible jet black looks its horrible!!

I am A Hairstylist so here u go.. I have dealt with many color corrections in the past where clients like yourself did the same thing..

Ok.. First off ..Color does not lift color.. No matter what.. It doesn't happen..Especially with black hair... 2nd. If u were to bleach your hair at home it will 1. be very very dry and brittle. 2 Be orange.

What u need to do Is go to a salon... They will put on a color remover for you and it will most likely strip that color out.. After that they will put on another color for you. Now If u were to do this at home (use a over the counter color remover) 1. U will not be able to work it out of the hair like a hairstylist knows. 2. U will turn orange.. 3. After U put on a color over that orange it will probley turn back to black.

Unfortunetly U have 2 ways to go about doing this.. 1. Deal with it . 2. Go to a salon.

Even with a stylist doing it , it will be a bit drying on your hair.. But definetly not as bad if u were home.

Now ... Do not listen to anyone in here That says Use Dish soap, or lemon juice , or what ever.. It will not work.. Your hair Is black... U will never get it back to light brown yourself.. The Hairstylist Might not even get it back to light brown. More then likely it will Be a Medium brown.. Then after u get your hair a bit healthier by using a deep conditioner for a while u can always get some hilites that blend so it is lighter. Also.. If at any time u are not happy with a service that your hairstylist has done go back and get a redo for free..

It will cost u Maybe even close to $100. So I suggest before u even make the appointment go In and ask what they can do and the fee... If they say that they cannot do what I said Move on to another salon, Because IT CAN be done.... Good luck. If u need anymore advice give me a jingle

your best bet is to go to a salon to have it fixed by a professional. experimenting with more at home products can ruin your hair.

It depends on if it is a permanent dye or just a rinse. If it is a rinse the color will gradually come out between washes. However, if it is permanent, you will have to re-dye your hair which will cause a lot of damage..

Sorry but its not gonna be that easy. You can bleach it and dye it your natural hair color but remember its never gonna look the same until you let it grow out. And it never grows out the same color. I had let it grow out after I dyed it black and my tips would get red that never happened it actually use to get blonde. So, once you dye your hair its hard to get back to your natural hair color. good luck though!

i don't know products but if you do a real light color you can probley turn it back if not if it is too like then just add light brown to it and it should probley turn back.

To avoid damage to your hair, I suggest going to a salon and have it done professionally. If you try to do it yourself, you will probably cause dryness and may even end up with some weird streaky colors!

BUT heres some help, this is what i tell everyone when they think the look badd. you only look like crap if thats what you think, but if you keep saying to urself im hott i look amazing then ur attiude toward ur appearance changes. its not about how u look its about how u present it!

Shaving your head is your best bet, so there is no sign of where the two colors meet as your hair grows.

You will look very sexy this way.

Good luck on that one! You have to have it stripped which is very hard on your hair then you will have to try to dye it to match your original color until your real color can grow out! I suggest doing these things plus a good cut...not just 1/2" i'm talking 2-3" and get a really expensive conditioner to use everyday plus a conditioning treatmetn where you put it on put on a plastic cap and sit under a dryer for 15 minutes! It also depends on what kind of dye you used...if its walmart dye it will probably lighten up on its own in a few weeks and eventually you won't hardly be able to tell since its cheap and it doesn't really work...go to a professional!

do you have a hair stylist you normally go to? if not try a friends stylist...you want to get it done by a professional so the damage to your hair is minimal...if it's done wrong it could damage your hair majorly. I don't think black to brown is too big of a jump for the dye to make; just be sure you pick the dye that is the closest to your natural color you can get! The stylist might even have a product to wash out the dye...i of course am assuming that the dye you bought is the permanent kind? good luck!!!

Firstly....relax!

This has happened to me several times. The first couple times my hair stylist said no problem, she had a product that could chemically remove the dye and then re-do it so it looks like my natural colour. I obviously believed her, until I changed stylists. I was then told the only thing she is doing it's dying my hair colour as close to natural as possible, this way when it grows you can't tell the roots apart. If anything is really used the chemical itself is probably damaging your hair.

My advise is just to re-dye your hair to the colour that looks like your natural one. Works for me, I still have my hair ;) .... good luck

Try using Prell Shampoo (Original Green shampoo). Leave the lather in for 15 minutes. Do this 2-3 times a week. You will see the hair dye washing off everytime you rinse. I had the same problem about 1 year ago. And Prell worked for me (you can buy it at any drug store). Just be patient this might take about one month.

Well, i don't know if this will help you that much.. but when i wanted to get my hair bleached, i went to the salon and they told me that i had to get it stripped to get all the color dye i had in my hair out and i really didn't want to sit in a salon for so many hours, so they told me i could go to a beauty store and pick up a stripping thing there.. just go any beauty supply store: i dont know where you live, but i went to Sallys Beauty Supply and asked them if they could point out the stuff to strip my hair. so yeah, when i did it, my natural color was finally back to light brown. You can do it multiple times too, and you can even dye your hair right after your strip it :) ..if you'd like. hope that helps.
