I'm asian with black hair but I need advice on how to change it up!?

I'm Chinese, with medium-long, naturally straight, black hair.

I always dye it, but as of right now it's my natural color, texture, and just natural everything.

In the past, I have gone with light brown highlights, blonde hair, and red streaks, and full brown hair.

I want to change my hair up again soon but I don't know what to do with it!

I was thinking spontaneous teal along with a just a LITTLE bit of platinum white strands against my black hair would look really great.

Any suggestion, advice, or ideas please?

Fushia if you want something really different, try L'Oreal Rays. Pretty good line of hair dye that's very different and a lot of fun :)

Don't change a thing. I like Asian women and their dark hair. It's natural. I'd pick an Asian girl over a white tramp anyday. Their loyal, and they always have your meals on time!

my asian friend asked me to give her a make-over and i layered her hair and gave her some honey highlights. it was really low easy to manage( get up and shake) also if she wanted smthing more formal it looked great curled. hope this helps! maybe even some bangs? think ashley tisdale

Right now, my hair is at it's natural brown color, aside from a slightly red tint from a wash i did about a month ago. I have "emo hair" (lots of short, choppy layers on top and then my hair gets a bit longer on the bottom and long side swept bangs) and i aim to dye the longer, bottom part black and then the short layers blonde. Now I know black hair dye is nearly always permenant but that dosnt bother me. Also i've heard that the blonde may turn orange or something? I thought i'd just dye my whole head blonde and then do the black after(useing temporary box color). Would that work?

p.s.

I'm thirteen years old, and have died my hair many times but never two colors... and my mom dosn't aporove of me dyeing my hair so i need to prove i can make it pretty(=.

Oh, and please don't answer saying 'Don't dye it if your mum dosn't aprove because i'm doing it and that would just waste both our timeXD.

I know you are going to do it anyways but I got to say it anyway.....You are frying you hair...You are way to young to have colored your hair this much...It is going to be ruined but if you must do it go to a salon.

I really wouldn't recommend doing that. Have you tried L'Oreal Color Pulse? It lasts 1-2 weeks (for me it lasted a month) and comes in the colors you want. Try that, and if you like that, do permanent. Good luck!

sorry to say this,but you need to go to a salon,every time i tried going from dark to blonde,it did turn orange,its best to find a pic to take with you or make sure the hair dresser understands exactly what you want.that way,everyone will be happy,except your mom,good luck and happy coloring:)

o.k. at the risk of sounding like your Mum you should just leave your hair the way it is but if you really want black hair that is not tottally permanent then try a black Henna dye it is long wearing but not totally permanent and won't dry and damage your hair as much as normal box dye.

even if you tried to bleach it on your own, your hair would be so damaged from the levels of lift you would need to get to the color you want. Then try to color over it? there's no way the black color would stick to the damaged bleach hair. It might come out a light gray color.

I all depends on skin tone. If you are dark complected, then dark hair would be best with blue eyes. If you are light skin toned, then blonde is better. Good luck.

It sounds like a blessing! What is your ethnicity? It almost sounds like you are native American or something similar. Native americans dont have much if any body hair and no facial hair, that could be a reason.

Your original idea is nicer...I really HATED Audrey Kitching's hair like that.

I don't know why you would dye your hair at all, it's gorgeous.

But yeah, stick to your original idea of just underneath and maybe on the sides. And stick to your current hairstyle, I'd kill for it but my hair is thick and wavy and I can't afford a great straightener.

Putting light hair color over a darker color wont do anything, For a lighter tone you can use bleach with a light toner... If your looking to go just a shade or two lighter then I would recommend washing your hair with a good shampoo and baking soda to get allot of the color out, then using a color stripper (which will take your hair to a copper/orange color), Then a lighter hair color.. If you go to Sally's beauty supplies they can help you find a good one. If you are going to use the bleach make sure you get a toner, and make sure you get a Violet mix in avoid redness/brassiness.. If you go to a hair supplies store they can defiantly help you pick out the right things and help you understand how to use them. For damage after wards I would recommend a hot oil treatment and a conditioning mask called "Aussie 3 minute miracle" You can find this at any target or wall mart.. Of course nothing beats getting it fix professionally.
