I have black hair which I dyed with permanent black box dye colour 4 months ago. It has faded a little but I want to go light brown or lighter. The lighter the better. Im thinking of using Sun-in. Is there any drug store product i can use without bleach?

DO NOT USE SUN-IN. This is the absolute worse product you can use on your hair. Once it is in your hair, you cannot safely have any other chemical treatments, (color, highlights, perms) until it has grown out and cut off unless you want to risk having your hair go up in smoke or down the drain. With the artificial color on your hair, you are playing with fire to try to lighten your hair to blond. After 13 years as a color specialist I know of no product, either drugstore or professional that can lighten your hair without bleach or at least a high-level tint using 30 or 40 volume developer. Your best options from the description of your hair in it's present condition is to do nothing or use a semi-permanent, deposit only hair color at least 2 shades lighter than the present color of your hair. The safest thing to do at this point if you really want to go lighter is to go to a professional licensed cosmetologist who specializes in color correction. It will cost you some money but at least you'll still have hair that is not damaged beyond repair. Hope this is of some help. Good luck.
