Bleech Black hair?

I dyed my hair black 6 months ago, will bleeching it turn it blonde? Should I go to a salon? Will it come out funky?

(my natural color is red, the red is grown out about 2 inches, it looks bad, I need help!)

My first question to you is did you use a boxed color to color your hair black or did you go to the salon to get it done? The reason I ask this is because boxed color contains metalic salts that damage your hair to no end and to put a professional product on top it is suicide for your hair.

As far as bleeching it out goes, no. It will not lift to a blonde color. If it does your hair will turn to mush, which is a better alternative to having it fall out completely. I would definetly go to a salon and explain your situation to a professional colorist. They will be able to color your hair properly. It may take a couple of trips to get the results that you're looking for, but it will be worth it in the end. Good luck

If you bleach it most likely it will turn orange. I would go to a salon.

if you put blonde dye on black hair it will turn orange.... you have to go and get it done professionally or find a hair bleach that has a blue hue in it, which will take more than one application, but will not turn your hair orange....

no bleaching it wont trn it blonde, i tried to highlight my black hair with a bleach kit adn alls it did was turn red, yes if you are able to then please do go to a salon bc they can take care of your hair.bc youll end up frying your hair and itll jsut break off, but if you have to do it at home then i suggest getting manic panic flash lightning bleach kit either from manicpanic.com or hot topic and bleach your hair and dye it your natural color or what ever you want =) but good luck

and if you do it yourself make sure you deep condition your hair alot
