Fix black hair?

I dyed my hair darkbrown a few hours ago.

only it came out black;

very bad,

it looks horrible on me and i need to know some ways to quickly fix it;

hopefully some i can do at my house?

with materials i have at hand :]

- i have already tried the dish soap method [4-5x] and it doesnt seem to be helping

i used Clairal Natural darkest brown if that helps any :/

please help with any ideas or methods that work :]

I had the same problem,,last week,,, look it up if you like. so I "dyed" it blond twice,,, then bleach blond once,,,, then honey brown,,, I love the results oh by the way,,, I bought the dye at the dollar store lol,,,,

there are only 2 ways to go, i know them pretty well since i dyed my hair black on purpose and then i didnt like it.

you can either wait for it to wash out with the days and it WILL turn lighter on the first week

you can go to a beauty saloon and tell them to take it back to your natural hair color by extracting the hair dye pigmnets from your hair (this can take weeks if youre blonde)

=/ im sorry, they take time but they DO work

sorry to hear about this, Clairol Darkest Brown is nearly black anyway, its sounds it was left on to long and over processed

I hate to say this but as a stylist there is no quick fix at home without making it worse and damaging your hair further

do not whatever you re bleach it, try a lighter toner that may help, otherwise its a trip to the salon for professional treatment

I would try using a rinse not a dye. You will never get your hair back to the original color. I did that and it took months and lots of money and I ended having to cut most of my hair off because it got so damaged. I will never try that again.

No matter what anyone says... even if it's temp dye, it will stay in your hair for a long time and your hair will not return back to its natural color until it grows out. Even if after rinses and months it get's back to a blondish color it prob will still have a trace of that dye in it. I would highly recommend NOT doing it.

i would wait for the color to fade. otherwise you'll have to bleach it and dye over, which will fry your hair. think of hair dye as paint... can you get a lighter color out of black just by mixing more colors in it??

If your hair was done black it is very hard to lighten on your own, you could try a med brown to lighten it a little, but I don't really think it will work. Blonde hair dye will not work on black hair. What you really need to do and I know you said it wasn't an option, but it needs to be bleached to a lighter color and then colored over and have a toner put over it. Which you can't do at home unless you have a friend who is a hairstylist and can get to a beauty supply store, because you can't buy those products at the drug store.

ooops i've done this and black is the most difficult colour to undye. you should wait about a month to give your hair a rest. i tried some l'oreal highlights to soften the black and it came out copper and i had to dye them again in a dark blond/ brown to make it look natural. but basically you have to wait until the new roots start coming out and you colour them a brown tone and waaaaaaaaaaitttt. that's what i did.

i am in the u.s so i dont know of any in london, but i can tell you that carols daughter sells the best hair products for natural hair, try hair milk and black vanilla leave in conditioner, and that should keep it bouncy, it will not shrink up either.

Whatever you do, do not use sun in! That junk ruined my hair and I had to let it grow out to get rid of it. I have really dark brown hair. Even if it says for dark hair, it will turn your hair orangish! If you want to go lighter, I hate to tell you but you need to do highlights or low lights or carmelize. Dont get highlights with a cap on, do the foils. Nothing major. It dosent kill your hair, as long as you take care of it. I get my hair highlighted ever since the mistake of using sun in. My mom uses henna to cover grays. They have earth tones and it works in her dark hair. A little money and you get the results you want. The cheap sometimes isn't worth it.

Yes. I've done it. But keep in mind, the colors on the boxes aren't always what they seem. the different pigment colors in your hair can change the actually color you think it will be. I have dyed my hair black %26amp; then did a brown. I just found the lightest brown I could get my hands on %26amp; left it on 10 mins longer then said. It gave me lighter highlights so the black wasn't so much there. But Black is the ultimate worst color to get rid of! best of luck girl

dont do it yourself,it all depends how long you been using black tint on your hair,if it's permanent or temporary,if you use a lighter shade such as blonde it might,i mean "might" lift it a bit,but if you have new growth it will certainly lighten up only on the new growth and you will have multiple colours,seek professional help with this,perhaps go with some highlights which will not affect all of your hair and it will break down the black,with little damage,but certainly go to a pro..goodluck

Is it artificial black? How many applications? There are a few PROFESSIONAL ONLY color removers that are color reducers as opposed to the bleaching color removers. If you only have a few applications of the black this could most likely be done to your satisfaction. You must ask to speak to a color correction specialist about if they work with color reducers. If they do not know what it is, find someone else. It is a very tricky product. There is a 100% difference between the products. My first question to you is did you use a boxed color to color your hair black or did you go to the salon to get it done? The reason I ask this is because boxed color contains metalic salts that damage your hair to no end and to put a professional product on top it is suicide for your hair.

As far as bleeching it out goes, no. It will not lift to a blonde color. If it does your hair will turn to mush, which is a better alternative to having it fall out completely. I would definetly go to a salon and explain your situation to a professional colorist. They will be able to color your hair properly. It may take a couple of trips to get the results that you're looking for, but it will be worth it in the end. Good luck

Depends on your complexion, the shape of your face, lips and eyes...

But if you've a pale compelxion : Light purple's, Dark Grays for eye shadow, Pinks for the cheeks, and any color gloss for the lips, the pinker, the redder, the better.

Dark Complexion: Light blues, light purples for the eyeshadows, dark eyeliner or kohl. Redder on the cheeks and lips with gloss.

Would look good with Black hair and usually the less makeup you have on with black hair the better, all the work should be on the eyes.

This is going to sound weird but I have black hair and olive skin. I am Italian and Russian. I wear have found that a Dark Purple eye shadow looks really nice. I use a little bit of it as a Major color and use a brown color as a midtone. I also use a Violet Eye Liner on the top eyelid by the lash line and use a brown or light highlighter as the eyeshadow over it so it does not look to purple.

Those are called blackheads. Don't use stickers it isn't strong enough. get those waxing strips that help clean pores and remove blackheads. You can get it at a local drugstore or cosmetic store. You may have to use those strips once after 3 days it is called Boire I know people who use them and it works not to mention cleans pores! There are cleansers too. To apply Boire you have to make sure you have a wet face and apply it over your nose wait a bit like 5 mins and rip it off. There are more instrutions on the box for more details. Boire isn't really that expensive either. I really hope this helped!!!

What I think is that, you should get highlights. Im asian too. I have pale skin and dark hair. My sis is a hair stylist. I just got high lights and now my hair and skin stands out so much. I don't think you should really tan your skin. Because some asians tan their skins and it makes them look retarded. But dying your hair brown is okay I guess, But my suggestion is to get high lights.
